The multi-day expedition incorporates mountain biking, hiking, fishing, backpacking, kayaking, and more, along with workshops from thriving in the wild to thriving in society.

Workshops may include:
     - knot-tying
     - building credit
     - tracking animals
     - starting a business or non-profit
     - camping & backpacking
     - government & courts
     - archery
     - gardening
     - buying a home
     - self-defense (city and wilderness)
     - budgeting

As you can see, these workshops span totally different environments, but in fact they have one singular goal - SURVIVAL!

GOALS

  • Teach young people useful skills that will help them cope with life and succeed in their efforts.
  • Raise awareness of the rising occurrence and dangers of children growing up without one or both parents.

ANNUAL EXPENSES

(one 7-day camp session per month.  Six months in the West Glacier, Montana area and six months in Shenandoah, Virginia area.  Each camp with about seven campers and three camp guides.

Camper Adventure Kits (bike or backpacking gear for each camper to take home) = $29,400

Grants - $30,000
Outdoor Gear Rental Business - $24000 (mountain bikes x 40 = $1600/mo, backpacking gear x 20 = $1200/mo, camping gear = $1000/mo, kayak rental x 20 = $600/mo minus $400 gear expenses)
Guided Expeditions Business - $18,000 ($4000/mo client fees (2 backpacking trips & 2 day hikes) minus $1000/mo expenses)  
Donations - $78,000
