i have run my course...

6.10.17

"I have long feared that my sins would return to visit me and the cost is more than I can bear" - warrior Benjamin Martin said at the bed of his son, fallen in war.  His fellow soldier nearby, says, "Stay the course".  To which Ben admits, "I have run my course"... ("The Patriot)

Ben goes on to fight.  And the story is not over, but deep inside, he knows that HIS story IS over.  It is now a greater good for which he fights.  The hate has been lanced from his gaping wound.  He is only a force, no longer a man.

I do not know where MY story goes from here, but my wound is gaping and every day I must lance the hate from it, for it fills again and again, threatening to finally take me once and for all.

I will fight the only way I know how.  I am fighting with Anjelica's spirit.  Her kindness and generosity, and fierce devotion to those she loved.  I am not her, but I know her and I know what she would do.  She would try to protect other children...  and so it is.

Please learn from this fiery little beautiful warrior.  Forge on.
